Following Supreme’s unveiling of its collaborative Nike Air Force 1 low, which is set to drop during the label’s Spring 2020 season, rumors indicate that the next Supreme x Nike silhouette has already been chosen and will be the Air Max Plus.As notorious leak account claims, three colorways of a Supreme x Nike Air Max Plus will be released during the holiday season this year. The three color options for the Air Max Plus apparently include Black, University Red/Varsity Maize, and Hyper Grape/Varsity Maize.Nike and Supreme have a longstanding partnership, which has been ramped up to two releases per season in recent years. This means that we’re likely to get another collaboration during Spring 2020 alongside the Air Force 1, and a second during Fall 2020 to go along with the now-rumored Air Max Plus.
The first two months of Nike Air Max in 2020 have been dominated by the Air Max 90. And understandably so, given the marquee silhouette’s 30th Anniversary; However, the turn of the decade also marks a milestone year for the Air Max 95, which is gradually building a celebratory release roster. An upcoming “Reflective Stripe” Pack features a trio of ’95s undeniably reminiscent of last month’s COMME des GARÇONS collaboration, though only in monochromatic theme. “Black,” “Grey” and “White” arrangements completely take over the 25-year-old silhouette, save for subtle contrasting accents. Swoosh logos, as well as “NIKE AIR” and “AIRMAX” branding, favor a black finish and notably standout on the two lighter pairs. The “Grey” Air Max 95, unlike its co-stars, forgoes midsoles in its primary color in exchange for a standard “White” option. Yet, the most pronounced similarity among the Air Max trifecta is the subtly-branded reflective stripe running on both medial and lateral sides. Laces also add nighttime visibility to these sneakers through speckled detailing.
